airbrush car paint
airbrush car painthello,
What paint should I use to make permanent? is it possible?I mean, if I painted on the hood of my car with my airbrush, what paint should I use if I do not want her to run away the first drop of rain or gust of wind?
I intend to start again my pocket bike (carnénage plastic) and I wanted to know what I should take as paint (paint thinner apret prdoduit cleaning etc.) with this airbrush to paint and that takes ca because I never had any airbrush painting and my knowledge is limited to gouache and spray paint
if you have links that would be cool (preferably not too expensive like ebay or other auction)
thank you in advanceIt is true that there are steps ESSENTIAL to paint on car bodies.1) Preparing the surface: sand gently with water with very fine sandpaper.2) Paint with acrylic paint (Schmincke type)> Beware of fingerprints that may leave marks!3) Step not essential, but preferable: a degreaser move slightly on the drawing (to remove any traces, not always visible to the eye, but appear after the opening)And 4): varnishing. For this last step, unless you do either bodybuilder, I strongly advice you to do it professionally. Without the proper tools, you risk ruining hours of work ... I speak knowingly. It should be: good gun, good varnish (usually two components, we must also master the mixture) and above all, good local (and ventilated with a vacuum).Me it is the latter that I missed. After applying the varnish, I found myself in a fog (you better wear a mask with charcoal filter), I left, and when I returned, this "fog" was deposited on the body. It was yucky, grainy like a veil ...
Well, I do not know if it will not discourage you (this is not the goal), it's just to say that to get a clean result by making everything all by itself, is ... big guy! Unless it is to varnish a laptop or a model!
The best early, ask a pro you prepare the surface, painted, and asks him to varnish. If you can, watch him do it, and then if you want it, do it yourself!
Good luck!
