Gran Turismo 6 will feature Goodwood Hill Climb
For those of us who aren't able make this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed, now there's a reason to be even more jealous of those in attendance. Polyphony Digital has announced that starting today, Goodwood attendees will be able to experience an exclusive demo of Gran Turismo 6 on the very track they are visiting. The rest of us will be able to enjoy the 1.86-kilometer hill climb when the driving simulator goes on sale later this year.
Using cars such as the Zagato TZ3 Stradale, Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 and Ford GT, players will be challenged to virtually beat the record-setting, 41.6-second course run of Nick Heidfeld in a Formula One car, which still stands from 1999. Those with fast times will also be able to vie for a "wildcard" spot in this year's GT Academy. Be sure to check out some of the game play screenshots from Goodwood in the gallery above.
